Purpose built for the EDM drillling demands of high-volume production applications of cooling film hole features that are found in blade and Vane turbine engine components. The design focus of the BX3 is cycle time reduction with an emphasis on removing as much non-value-added motion or wasted processing time as possible. Utilizing Makino’s fully digital ES200A generator that provides faster machining speeds with an increase in power up to 100 Peak Amps to boost productivity. The machine features a fully submerged operations using a programmable rise and fall work tank to enhance machining speed and accuracy. The advanced adaptive control of the ES200A generator can detect break through within 1 second – which is especially important when machining into hollow internal cavities.
