a500iR Five-axis Horizontal Machining Center

Making it’s world debut during this year’s IMTS show – the Makino a500iR brings a compelling combination of agility and feature machining access. Using a direct dirive C-axis table on direct drive B-axis table structure , this machine allows you to optimize positioning speed, accuracy and repeatability. The machine’s generous work zone can accommodate payload masses up to 400kg, with shaped diameter up to 900mm, with a workpiece height of 600mm. Plus, it has variety of available spindles ranging from 14,000 to 24,000 RPM and its available tool magazines spanning 90 – 313 tools – this machine can be configured for a variety of intended uses.
