3D Manufacturing Format (3MF)

3D Manufacturing Format (3MF) is an open-source format for 3D printing that allows design applications to send full-fidelity 3D models to a mix of other applications, platforms, services, and printers.

3MF is on a mission to solve data interoperability challenges that the 3D printing industry faces today with a comprehensive file specification format that moves beyond solely communicating file geometry and includes material, color, and printer specifications. Our session aims to inform manufacturing professionals of our open-source specification that's becoming widely available within leading industry platforms and is allowing companies to focus more on innovation and less on having to fix problems associated with other 3D file formats.
